Additional Features…..?

We’re considering a pop culture podcast. What do you think? We’ve actually be considering an audio broadcast since way before “podcasts” came along, but the project kept getting shelved. It’ll be sponsored and contain some really interesting tidbits. The project is in-development and has a potential first broadcast in mid-June. Any ideas, comments, etc. are greatly appreciated.

Cool Sites

It’s always fun to find cool websites and not enough sites let anyone know about cool sites anymore.

Screamscape.com: Theme Park News and Rumors – Run by Lance Hart, this guy has been doing great work for years covering theme parks.

Flickr.com: The Yahoo! owned photo hosting site. It’s always fun to see people comment on your pictures and save them as favorites. They now give you 100 megs a month free for picture hosting.

In Living Color

Our latest product line coming in-stock features In Living Color. For those of you too young to know about In Living Color, let us throw some names at you: Jim Carrey, Keenan Ivory Wayans, Damon Wayans, David Alan Grier, Jennifer Lopez, Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans. Have you heard of any of these people? We bet you have and they all started on FOX, Sunday nights at 8PM. The show premiered in 1990 and ended in 1994 with the loss of Keenan Ivory Wayans and Damon Wayans along the way (among others) with disputes with FOX. It’s almost certain if FOX treated the creator and head of the show with greater respect, In Living Color would have been on the air for many seasons later.

In Living Color brought to us all sorts of memorable characters including Handi Man, Anton Jackson, Firemarshall Bill, Homeboys Shopping Network, Homey the Clown, The Head Detective among many others. Our new In Living Color products include several of these characters with their likeness on stickers and pins.

Every Monday morning, we’d come into school and we’d all be laughing about what the latest episode of In Living Color had on it. Besides the terrific writing, In Living Color broke through racial barriers. The show had many Emmy nominations along with critical acclaim and commercial success.

Did you know? Kelly Coffield and Steve Park, both cast members on In Living Color, are married. Former cast member Alexandra Wentworth went on to marry ABC This Week host George Stephanopoulos.
